AND THE WINNER IS...

Today we have received the good news that a student from our class has won the OSASUNA'S FOUNDATION PRIZE in the category of "Essays" (redacciones). The panel of judges has taken into account his original and creative writing amongst other things and, finally, he has been the winner of all Navarre.

Congratulations for this small student and, of course, for all his mates (compañeros). We should be proud (orgullosos) of the class where we work. On Monday, the 23rd of May, we will celebrate in class.

Looking at both pictures, which one is the hidden student? Guess with a comment!

Clue: he likes to play football in the playgrounds with a small ball but he is used to lose (a pity, je, je).

When the Castafoire went to Moulinstar Tintin and the profesor Calculus gave the welcome to the Castafoire and her secretaries, a pianist and her servant, but the Castafoire had an interview for the magazine Paris flash and she did in the house of the captain. During the interview, someone steal the jewels of the Castafiore. The Castafoire was very sad and the captain broken his leg. He bought a wheelchair to be able to go for a walk. But the magazine `Paris flash´ invetioned that the Castafoire will be married with the captain. A village with history!

Everybody know that Jorge Nanclares likes History. He knows a lot about many things, because he is used to read a lot. Now, he has written an essay about his town. One clue: the meaning of "crusader" is "cruzado" (warriors from a long time ago, XI Century).

"Cizur Menor, near the city of Pamplona, is a very small but interesting village. Do you think than in the past this village was a crusader town? Incredible but true! On the other hand, I have read that Cizur Menor has a famous restaurant nowadays, called "Tremendo". I had lunch there many times and I recommend it. You should know that I live in this place. I enjoy playing with my friends and, especially, the square of a small café, called "La Parrillada".

It is known that Javier Royo likes animals, but especially all kind of "Birds". Here you have a writing where you can learn about the Falcon. As always, try to find his mistakes and send a comment to help him.

"The Falcon Peregrinus is the fastest animal in the world. It has the ability to capture birds in the air by kicking with its feet and then turning around to catch them. In the final phase of the descend it overtakes the velocity of 400 kilometres per hour. You can find the nest of this animal in a high rock.

We can find these animals in all the continents except Antartida. Its scientific name is "Falcon Peregrinus". Is the principal specimen in hunt. It is a migratory bird and its family is Falconidae. The lenght of this animal is between 38 and 48 centimetres".

Asterix the Gladiator

A new summary has come. This one is from Santi I., who has written some lines about another incredible book of Asterix and Obelix. As always, try to find his mistakes and send a comment with your proposals.

"In this comic, Asterix and Obelix crush the Romans and Cesar want to put them in the circus to fight with lions, legionaries and gladiators. In the circus Asterix and Obelix always mash to the men and animals of it. All the champions of the circus train Asterix and Obelix and it's very funny. I like the part when the trainer of Asterix and Obelix started to cry. I recommend this book to all the students of my age".

Asterix and the Class Act

Rodrigo has sent this summary. Enjoy it and help him by sending a comment if you find mistakes, but is not going to be easy for you to find them.

I like this book because is very funny. When Obelix was a little boy he didn´t study anyting and for this reason he has to go back to school with the children, and start learning maths, language... His friend Asterix does not need to go to school again because he was a good student. The most Asterix and Obelix like is to fight with the Romans and they always win. While Obelix attend the classes with the children, the rest of the Gauls fight with the Romans. Finally Obelix learns a lot and go back to have fun with Asterix.
